This is the third and final theme slag which will help determine seeding and who gets an invitation to participate in the upcoming tournament (If you haven't heard about the tournament, check out this thread). This contest is much more difficult than most slags, simply because the competition in the tournament will be tougher than usual.

Your best two slag finishes (out of the three) will be used in determining your spot in the tournament. This means that if possible, try to enter at least two of the three slags. If you just enter just one slag and kick ass, there is still a fair chance you will get in the tournament; it all depends on how many people participate.

Note that you do not have to be willing or able to participate in the tournament in order to enter this slag. This theme is open to anyone, and there is no shame at all in entering (no member on this site should ever utter "I'm not good enough"!). In fact, if you have an idea and the free time do an entry in this slag, regardless of your tournament interests, I encourage you to do so. This will provide more competition all around.

Slag Description:
The object of this theme is to take any picture and make all persons in it invisible using photoshop (similar to DrToast's photoshop below, except all people in your photo should be made invisible). You should not see any indication of a person, except for the form that exists in their clothing (basically, clone out any parts with skin or hair).

Your source picture can be anything you wish (movie still, sports photo, etc). Check out the FilmWise invisibles for a ton of small yet excellent examples.

If you have never attempted an invisible before, here are a few tips:

Closeup shots work better than far-away shots, since they show off your work on the clothing
The clone tool is your friend
While the background is important, the real points are earned by how well you recreate and shade the insides of sleeves and clothing.
Your entry should focus is on details and realism; there isn't much room for humor (but if you can make your entry impressive and clever, go for it).

Do we delete the shadows from the body? If they really stick out as evidence of where a major limb or head was, then it might be a good idea. There is no real rule or preference about that though, so it's pretty much your call.

Working with the clone tool as much as is required for one of these can be very tedious. I'd recomend working on this for perhaps an hour at a time at most then getting away from it for a bit, and doing more on it later. Repeat till done. Good luck everyone.

I think I just got a little over ambitious on this one, Ive been working on it for 3 or four days now, hopefully Ill make the deadline. On a side note, Ive been using that "eye of the tiger" constantly since I read your post Ton2Nice, Im not sure wether to thank you or curse you.

I was worried I wouldn't make it. This was my first try at one of these. I think my picture was a bit too complicated. Learned a lot though and that is all I am here for. =)

Yeah, I completely agree with you Coryct , after this long grueling process was finally over I found myself doing a couple of shops that turned out much better simply because I wasn't scared to dive in and start handpainting details or replicating noise levels/artifacts to match pics up more closely. I just hope theres not another one of these coming up in the near future.
