Theme: Life in Outer Space

A global catastrophe has occurred, rendering the Earth completely unfit for human life. Fortunately, a group of people had envisioned this event, and before danger struck they got the hell out of dodge and flew into space.

Your task in this theme is to photoshop what things would be like if we were forced to live in outer space (on another planet, or just floating about). The only limit is your imagination.

SOURCE PICTURE UPDATE I had just recently received news that an image I've used in this particular entry was copyrighted; I was unaware of this at the time of the project. I have since found the artist, Gerardo Damian Barbero, and have credited him as a source in the sources and credits link above. If folks feel so inclined, I will gladly redo the image without his contributions, which are the balcony itself, and the little mountain that the turret appears on, as well as some cloned cloud cover. I had originally received the image from a friend and it was not hotlinked to the site his work had initially been displayed on, which can be found right here. My sincere apologies to the artist; any insult was purely unintentional.
