I know Bruno answered this question before the old site blew up, but I got a new (used) dryer that came with a four prong thingy and my outlet is a three prong thingy. Here are the options I came up with: cut off one prong and bend the others so they fit, or find a cord to change out on the dryer so it fits. Updating the plug might be possible but we're drowning in dirty clothes and need something quick. I guess my question is this is changing the plug on the dryer going to burn down my house or electrocute my family?
