Wasn't interested at all despite the blogs jabbering about it, but with that trailer...awesome. I'm in!

This game is a blast. I had to fight the "Rakk Hive" last night. I used up every piece of ammo I had to take it out. Luckily, I found a weapon (Eridian Lightning) with rechargeable ammo a bit earlier, so I had a good backup weapon.

Played some split screen when repo was over this weekend. Pretty entertaining. I will probably rent this to get some play out of this game.

It is a really easy game to lose large amounts of time to. There is just something very compelling about finding new weapons and other pickups. When you hit the jackpot, it's quite satisfying. It's also a letdown when you kill something like the Roid Rage Pyscho and he drops a measly pistol. Awwww.

The RPG elements are a fun addition to the shooting.

I finished the game last night. The end is a little disappointing, but once you exit back to the menu and continue your game, you get the option for "Playthrough 2". The enemies are a LOT harder, but you get the benefit of carrying over your weapons, level, money, and mods from the last game. In a nice touch, they updated the names of the enemies. "Psycho" is now "Maniac" and "Midget Psycho" is now "Freaky Little Maniac" for example.

Gah, now I am wavering on buying this. I do feel that ODST dropped off the radar screen way too quick. Although Halo games have always been the ones that we come back to again and again.

I was a 37. I played some of the missions twice in co-op, so your mileage may vary.

Edit: After 4 missions in the new game, I'm almost a 40. Major exp boosts in the second play through. Even small skags are 400XP range.

Ludicrous Speedway? A Spaceballs reference? Classic.

I'm kind of addicted to this game right now.

I agree I'd like to play more odst for the achievements but am having too much fun with borderlands.

The damn Pandora-dog Millionaire glitched on me. I have over a million bucks but didn't get the achievement. Dammit. I suppose I can do a splitscreen item handoff to another profile, then give it all to a new character and see if that works.

While I got kind of tired of slogging through zombies, the end of the Dr. Ned DLC was almost worth the entire price of admission. The super easy boss fight coupled with the 1pt achievement was hilarious.

haven't tried on the XB at all but I've played the bajeezus out of this game on the PC. A friend and I were playing last night, we are farming Crawmarax to try for some nifty drops...problem is, he kept dying in the same spot each time we reset him so all the shit he dropped just piled up in a big mess. We ended up dumping our own stuff off to one side and hoovering up all the crap on the ground to ditch it away from the battlefield...worked pretty well and ended up looking like a big rainbow bridge:

EDIT: if you look close at the first one in fullsize you can see hundreds of items still on the ground in the distance to be cleaned up

heheh that's pretty cool.

That freaking Crawmerax... I tried it a couple times. I'd like to shove each and every one of those guns up his stupid Crawmerass.

Preordered as well. Really crossing my fingers that it doesnt suffer from Crackdown 2 syndrome. Not too worried about that. Bummer is that I wont be able to play much next week when it comes out. traveling and have a goofy schedule. Then I will be all about it the following week.

Judging by the videos and previews at least it looks like they just took the first and made it better. We should have known better with Crackdown. They took the first game and added "zombies."

I can't wait for Borderlands 2. I hope Underdome is part of the full game and not an add-on this time, I think it being a DLC limited the number of people who got it.

BTW, I think I'm starting my game with Zero (the ninja guy).
