I was catching up on some new game stuff this weekend:

Halo: Reach -- What did you guys think of the new trailer? No gameplay to comment about, but it sure looks pretty. Hopefully 6 player coop will be in there.

Crackdown 2 -- Saw a new(I think) trailer for this, and this looks awesome. I can't wait for this one.

Both of these are looking pretty sweet.

Halo needs updating, engine-wise. I think they've basically painted themselves into a corner with weapons and vehicles, so since we're not going to see a whole lot new on that front we better see some gameplay and graphic updates. 6-player coop? If that's true, that's pretty sweet.

Crackdown 2 - That's looking pretty entertaining. I'm liking the sounds of it, with more in-depth XP upgrades of the character and vehicles. I'm jonesing for some agility orb hunting. With 6 people? Cool.

Halo Reach - The trailer was pretty lackluster. I curious to see what the beta is like.

Crackdown 2 - That's a buy.

Army of Two...2? - I'm getting it to play through it with Groucy/Churchill. We beat the first one. It looks pretty good so far, and they will offer a way to custom paint your masks and armor. I want a Rorschach mask.

Serious Sam HD - Pushed back to Jan 13th. I still want to get it, but my January is looking very shitty. I'm out traveling to DC and Knoxville the last two weeks of the year.

Mass Effect 2 - I'll get it one day, but I may wait until it gets to $30. It might be a good game to save for the slow summer season.

I will definitely be buying Crackdown 2.

And Serious Sam HD... oh yea, that's a lock too.

Edit: Bioshock 2 is my other obvious buy coming soon.

I would like to have Tekken 6, but I don't think i am going to spend 60 bucks on that. Maybe when the price comes down a whole lot.

Saw a trailer for the coop campaign of Splinter Cell. And yea that looks cool. I always found splinter cell to be a little too much on the stealth, but the coop levels they had in the one about 2 splinter cells ago was awesome.

Splinter Cell does look pretty cool.

Serious Sam is a definite unless they somehow botch the port.

Bioshock 2 is a release day purchase.

Mass Effect 2 is hopefully a Christmas present.

Tekken at some point, though after a fairly lackluster response to SC4 I wonder if I'm actually into fighters anymore.

Played a solid 2-3 hours of Bioshock last night. The game is awesome. I agree with the reviews that the sense of "HOLY SHIT" isn't quite there anymore since you are already familiar with this world. But man the gameplay does not disappoint. Can't wait to play more.

Bioshock is great. Sure, it's more of the same but Rapture is a fun place to explore and the gameplay is solid as ever. I sure don't remember Big Daddies going down after taking a couple few whacks from a golf club and then having a Brute throw a suitcase at them in the first game, though. Seriously. I got killed by a thrown suitcase last night.

Dead Rising 2.

Did we know that the whole campaign would be available in coop? That might have moved this from a curiosity into the "buy" column for me.

I got totally addicted to DR1 while I was trying to clean up achievements last summer. It helped that Frank was leveled up pretty decently by that point. Suddenly the quirks I found annoying on my first playthroughs weren't that annoying anymore. I even slogged through Genocider:

Ugh, I just heard the Halo Reach beta is only going to be 17 days. Also, Bungie says the download should be available sometime "late morning PST".

On a brighter note, I noticed that Harry Potter Lego is coming out soon. It looks like a lot of fun.

I guess they figure that they will be able to get a ton of data real quick. How many copies of ODST are out there... at least 3 million, and I am sure that a huge percentage of those people will be playing the beta.

Do y'all think it's just a coincidence that there's all this flooding and then Jango gets the day off... on the day this thing gets released to beta?

Here's Jango opening the hydrant AND dual-wielding, Halo-style.

And regarding the beta, their servers are getting hit harder than they planned for I guess, because it's having trouble loading playlists. Server unReachable.

Actually, I had scheduled a vacation day today. However, the office was closed so I didn't have to use up a day.

The servers are taking a beating, I hope it evens out soon.

Yea I think it just didn't like that we were in a party of 3 people. Once Jango ducked out, Repo and I played a bunch of headhunter matches. Pretty damn fun that headhunter game, although I already wish death onto all of the jetpack guys and I want their houses to burn down.

Edit: Juggernaut was pretty damn fun too.... you get a hammer when you are the juggernaut.

Ugh, next week Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake, and the new Prince of Persia all come out. It's going to be a tough decision.

RDR is supposed to be great with an awesome multiplayer. Alan Wake looks to be a worthy sucessor to Silent Hill. And Prince of Persia is going back to its roots and pretending the last game didn't exist.

I think I'm going RDR. Looks like a lot of bang for the buck. I want to play Alan Wake, but not sure it's a purchase for me. I think I'm done with Prince of Persia. I loved the first one, but kind of got bored of the franchise.
