After traveling around, it was time to head back to Tokyo. My sister had to go back to work. So from then on it was day trips or me wandering around the city on my own.

One day we visited the Studio Ghibli Museum, which was freaking packed. Ghibli (Spirited Away, Ponyo, Mononoke, etc.) is revered like Disney is in the US and rightfully so. No photos were allowed in the museum, but they had rooms setup that were half realistic animation studio and half-stylized in the Ghibli style. It was very cool seeing original artwork and paging through storyboard books. I was tempted to go Bad Gaijin, but didn't.

And this big turd. That's the Asahi headquarters designed to look like a mug of beer. The Tokyo Sky Tree, under construction, is to the left. It'll be the tallest structure in Japan when complete.

Shibuya is nuts. The amount of people there is staggering.

You'd just take whatever you want, or order from the guys in the center, and the plates are color-coded by price. When you're finished, you tell the cashier and she comes over and totals up your plates and gives you the bill.

That night we went out with some of my sister's friends. We picked up their car at this parking garage.

Everything from about this point on is vague. Yeah, I have that look in my eye. The look that says, I love beer in big glasses!
