Well, tomorrow morning will be the last trip to the vet for Benny. X-ray this morning showed very a big tumor on his spleen, and he can't get up off the floor without help since a few days ago. He's in constant pain now, and meds aren't helping anymore. Kids are taking it hard... tomorrow is not going to be a fun day. Not the time for a big eulogy tonight; just wanted to let y'all know. Give him a virtual pat, won't you?

Indeed, it is the worst part. But I don't think I'd trade it for anything for all the good parts. My thoughts are with you and your family.

That's really rough. I'm sorry to hear it. Benny looks like he lived a great life.

Make sure you stay with him the entire time. My biggest regret in life is not staying with my pup when we had to put him down. I was 19, took him to the vet myself, and didn't realize that even though it would have been hard on me, he needed me one last time.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Dogs deserve to live forever or at least to go painlessly whenever they please. Your day will be mine at some point in the next couple of years. I wish you all the strength in the world.

Benny is so beautiful, and I know he had a great life with you guys.. It always breaks my heart to be there when the time comes for one of our furry buddies. Our prayers and warm thoughts are with you all, NG.

The real America not that part where you live.

Nothing much harder in life than saying goodbye to someone you love. Dogs unlike a lot of people love you without judgement. They don't care what you look like, how much money you make, don't care about a lot except being loved back.

Sorry, NG. My Boy is also struggling right now, and it is ripping me apart. My thoughts go out to all of your crew.

NG, We just lost the Princess to the same malady three days ago. My heart is broken and unfortunately I know all too well what you are going through.

Thanks, gang. Pretty sad household right now, but the worst is over. Koko, I was thinking about Jorgen the other day... I'm glad he's managed to hold on this long. Wishing you strength. You too, 'gator.

I have no doubt that it is impossible right now, but I hope that soon you all can at least find some comfort in your memories. Benny was a beauty, and I'm sure there are several hearts that are breaking right now. Thanks also for your wishes.

edit: The same wishes to you, Alligator.
