Long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away

I saw the reviews and knew this game would be fun, but damn...I nut-punched an alien so hard he flew over a building last night.

This time the game is a mix-up of sci-fi tropes from The Matrix, ID4, and Mass Effect. You can even get Mal's pistols for when you aim to misbehave. The new superpowers make the game play like Crackdown, including collecting glowing object to upgrade your powers.

I'm loving it. I rolled my eyes when it turned out some of the agility orbs (yeah, why not) are mobile like those pain in the asses in Crackdown 2. They're a lot easier to catch when you can run 200MPH though.

This is precisely what I needed after playing the VERY SERIOUS The Last of Us. I needed a game where you can nut punch people over buildings.

I'm really loving the varied virtual worlds in some of the missions. I could have played an entire game set in the "Saints of Rage" world. The best thing I've seen so far is the They Live parody starring Roddy Piper.

As someone who's played all 4 games, I'm loving the call backs to the previous three games, like the Ben King mission set in Saints Row 1 where the boss says, "back then I was too scared to say anything".

Yeah, I like the call backs too... like current Shaundi and original "Fun Shaundi" fighting/arguing together. Reminds you how far (out) they've gone since Saints Row 1. I had pretty much forgotten the whole Veteran Child storyline.
