Visiting my brain at the funny farm.

OK, with Sugar Ray, Chris Jericho, and Hines Ward in the cast, I may have to break down, and set the DVR for this, this year...looking forward to a hopeful cage match between the 3 to decide the winner.

Number One:

Not a bad start to the DWTS this season, no one gets booted off for the first two shows this time around.

STANDOUTS: Ralph Macchio and Chelsea Kane did really well, and Kirstie Alley's attitude may carry her through for a while. Kendra Wilkinson did okay, but she'll be the one to hate this year.

MEHS: Sugar Ray Leonard, Petra Nemcova, "lil" Romeo, and Hines Ward.

OMG!HORRIBLES: Wendy Williams, Psycho Mike, Chris Jericho.

No predictions yet on anyone. The judges went out of their way to be kind, methinks.

Number Two: Dance

Week two showed that just about everyone can improve. The scores were all pretty close.

Gold Stars go to:

Ralph Macchio: Nice follow up to last week. And a really nice guy.
Chelsea Kane: Disney know how to crank 'em out. Cool jive. Judges full of sh*t on her scores.
Kirstie Alley: Hard not to love her personality. Hard not to notice those giant buttocks. Still, fun.
Kendra Wilkinson - I think the judges hate her. Not a bad job at all, though. Looks great.
Sugar Ray Leonard - REALLY improved. I was very surprised this week.
Petra Nemcova - Judges are struck by her beauty, but she improved too. Striking looks.
Chris Jericho - Also improved.. swear it's a different guy this week!
Romeo - Lots of energy. If he gets some control on that energy he's gonna go far.
Hines Ward - Also, very much improved. He may be a breakout if his fans get into it.

Needs Improvement
. Seriously:

Wendy Williams, Psycho Mike. Ugh for both. I think they will be among the first group leaving the island. Both are letting the nervousness get to them.

NOTE: I am not a fan of Kendra Wilkinson. PFC used to watch the Playboy show "The Girls Next Door" on the cables, and that's what I know her from. I think she's a bit too far over on the crude side of the isle for my taste (is 'trailer parkish' a good descriptor?). That being said I have to point out that in my view, Kendra and Petra Nemcova are pretty much in the sames business- posing nekkid or nearly nekkid and acting sexy for money. I think if they were judged honestly and fairly their performances would score about even tonight- however, the judges attitude attitude toward them were like night and day, and I can't help but think they are showing some prejudice, perhaps because of their backgrounds.

Week Number Two - Results

"Psycho Mike" is leaving dance city and returning to radio land. Whew.

Other notes:

DWTS now has a performing "dance troupe". Looks like a time filler to me. Reminds me of the Solid Gold Dancers, or the dance crew on 'In Living Color"..

Chris Brown (dude that smacked around Rhianna a while back..) was the musical guest. All lip synced. Not that impressive. He can do a backflip, btw. yawn.

"After some friendly negotiations, all parties agreed to a mutually acceptable time: 7:30 Eastern, which meant the speech on the military situation in Libya could be delivered — and analyzed — in time for the fans of “Dancing,” as well as other scheduled network shows, to see the shows they expected to see at their regularly scheduled times..."

Week Three: Dance

Wendie Williams: Very slow Fox Trot... Like watching them practice at half speed. Not good. Looks like she's lost a bit of weight too. 15/30

Chelsea Kane: Cha-Cha in a fantastic little gold outfit. Fun to watch, full of energy- she needs to work on her smoothness, but great job overall. 23/30

Chris Jericho: Dude is REALLY trying. Did a tribute to his mom, with the "Let it Be". Good job- seriously surprised at his ability. I think he's one of those winner-types that isn't afraid to sacrifice is machismo for the sake of winning. 21/30

Kendra Wilkinson: Meh. Kinda slutty. (One of the judges compared it to a stripper performance) Not bad, but not much improved either. A generous 23/30.

Romeo: Sort of the same as Kendra- not bad, but not much improved either. Seemed slow. 20/30

Hines Ward: Good job tonight. Needs work on his moves- still looks a little stiff, but scored well. 25/30

Petra Nemcova: Very beautiful waltz, nice outfit. Still improving. 25/30

Sugar Ray Leonard: As much as I like Sugar Ray, he needs work. He's improved, but still at the bottom of the pile. 20/30

Kirstie Alley: Ouch. Kirstie's partners hip gave out at the beginning, and they had a pretty bad moment (u-toob it)- which they tried to overcome. Bittersweet dance. Judges were kind to give them 21/30.

Ralph Macchio: Great dance, but lacked excitement.. He's hard not to like. Still improving. 21/30

Brooke Burke fans: Brought the girls back out tonight. Inner-side-boob sprinkled very liberally throughout the show.

Week Three Results

Thank you America, for sending Wendy Williams back to her day job. Whew.

Other Notes: Teen star Selena Gomez was on the show (nice job- those kids raised on the disney farms do well.. up to a point- looking at you brittnyaguilerraolsens)

Some other group was on too. Can't for the life of me remember their name. Or their performance. So yeah. Glad that Wendy girl is gone.

Also glad Kirstie Alleys' partner survived the direct hit from her on the previous nights show. We were giggling that he's only of 3 guys that ever had Kirstie fall on top of them and survive... yeah, we're mean like that sometimes.

See ya next week Mechapeeps

Week Four: Dance

It was 'Classical Night' on DWTS. They had a live (and mostly) full orchestra performing along with an great soprano and a violinist/Fabio look-alike. (Katerine Jenkins and David Garrett, respectively)

Romeo: Great Paso Doble. The Kid is fun to watch. Scored 23, which I thought was a little low..

Kendra Wilkinson: Viennese waltz. Ugh. Looked uncomfortable. She's letting her head get in her way. 18

Sugar Ray Leonard: Viennese waltz. He's getting better, but needs technical work. Still looks like he could kick your ass. 21

Petra Nemcova: Paso Doble. Footwork and technique off a bit, but she's great to watch. Good job overall. 23

Ralph Macchio: Waltz. Great job again. His competitiveness is coming through. 25

Hines Ward: Paso Doble. Amazing. Very much improved. Dude's taking it seriously! 25

Chelsea Kane: Viennese waltz. Very good. Interpretive, but really fun to watch. Great Costuming. 26

Chris Jericho: Paso Doble. Continually impressed by this wrassler. scored 23, I think he deserved a little better.

Kirstie Alley. Hard luck Kirstie lost a freaking shoe during a floor spin. Recovered again, but I'm thinking the "Kirstie Curse" may become a DWTS meme. Fair job, but still- great attitude and she's having fun. 22

Week Four: Results:

So long, Sugar Ray. It was just a matter of time. Great guy- bad dancer.

Other notes: Jennifer Hudson was the guest performer.. did a couple of songs from her new album. We likey.

Glad Kirstie Alley is OK after her mishap last night- we were afraid she might have sprained a Kankle.

Weak 5

So I've picked up a contract doing some post production work on a TV show. It's been sort of an on and off thing because of the guy in charge has a pretty busy schedule. Mostly Weekends. We worked all day Monday, and I made it back home just in time to hop back in the car and meet up at 6:30 for dinner with PFC and friend from that flew in from Arizona. Got home at 8:20. Power was off in about half our neighborhood- so I can't finish up some stuff for the show (took home the shows Macbook with plenty work to do on it) The Electric company said the power should be on by ten, so I'm thinking no problem.. just take a nap and get up and work a bit late.. So the power finally comes on about 2:30 AM Tues. I get up and start working. Realized at some point that DWTS did not record, because of the Power. Sum-Bitch. Watch it online maybe perhaps... Oh well.. Got a lot of work done, got the dogs fed and walked took PFC to work- drove half way across town through horrible traffic to meet up and return the computer and stuff to the guy I'm working with. I made it home about 6:30 PM, very tired- but dare not lay down, because I had to pick up PFC at 8:30 and was afraid I'd sleep through an alarm (and I think we all know how that goes when you fail to pick up a spouse from work, am-i-right?) Finally got home about 9 last night, after being up about 20 something hours, with only about 3 or 4 hours sleep from the night before and dead ass tired. Fired up the tube, and fast forwarded through the DWTS results show, for a bit of a shock...

Petra Nemcova was voted off the show..

Gonna skip the formal review this week and catch up on a few naps and forage through the fridge today. Catch ya next week.

Here's an article that covers the drama, from Gina Carbone @wetpaint:

Week Six- Dance

It's "Guilty Pleasures" week. (They totally stole this idea from me, btw- it's basically the "Songs I'm a litle embarrassed to have on my iPod" music selection)

Kirstie Alley: (Hit Me Baby One More Time) Samba. Finally got a break this week. Nice job movin dat bigassround da danceflow 2nite- she looks like she's lost a pretty good chunk of weight since the beginning of the show. (I have to think that helps her audience votes) 26/30. Best score so far for her this season...

Chris Jericho: (Don't Stop Believin') Nice job, but I expected a little better at this point- His Tango looked a little stiff to me.. Scored 22

Romeo: (Theme to Titanic) Waltz. Very good. One judge called it magical, and I agree. 28/30, including the first "10" of the season.

Chelsea Kane: (Walkin' On Sunshine) Quickstep dressed as nerdz. If you're into cute, young, nubile, leggy, little blonds packed full of energy dancing in shiny backless strapless fifties frocks, then this was your lucky day. Great Job, Dizkid. tied with Romeo with 28.

Kendra Wilkinson: (Livin La Vida Loca) Samba. Borderline pornographic at time. Sparkly. She's proud of those cans. 25/30.

Hines Ward: (End of the Road by Boyz2Men) Waltz. Beautiful dance- ya gotta love the guy's ability to move that huge frame around like that. 27.

Ralph Macchio: (Sweat by C&C Music Factory) Paso Doble, great energy, bit of a little slip- but really fun. Straight eights for 26.

Special guest/houseband tonight: Hansen. Performed a little "Achey-Breaky Heart", "Ice, Ice, Baby", "Cum on Feel the Noise" and just a bit'o "Mmm-Bop". Dee-lish

Week Six Results

Chris Jericho, WWSomething wrasslin star & part time rocker- it's your night to retire.. We thought he was a nice guy- he worked hard and really gave it a go-

Other notes: Guest performance by new superduperboygrouper "New Kids On The Block and Back Street Boys" or "NKOTBSB" No, I'm not making this up. As if they both weren't a crappilicious near distant memory independently, now they've join'd together to form sort of unidancing lipsinking monstrosity. I tried to count up how many members in the bunch, but they would never stand still long enough to get an accurate count. Maybe 20. None of them can be under 40 yrs old, according to PFC. Half were sportin touques, so the rogaine must not have kicked in yet for a few of them. So, long story short- once again America is treated to another fantastic and nearly perfect recipe for Suck. ! AVOID !

I would also like to point out that "NKOTBSB" only spells out "New Kids on the Back Street Boys"

The real America not that part where you live.

I don't know much about dancing with the stars but I do know Karina Smirnoff. If you Google her name plus Playboy there are some mighty fine pics to be seen.

It came down to Chelsea, Kirstie and Hines Ward.. all did really great on the last week...

Congrats, Hines Ward!! We were kinda pulling for the Disney girl, and thought that Kirstie would get the votes probably to win it, but Hines managed to charm the judges and America this go-round.

Sucks that I missed most of the show tonight due to the weather, but we are all safe and there were tornadoes within spittin' distance tonight. So no complaints...
