You knew it was coming, right?

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31749_16...-10391698.html

Initially, I wasn't impressed by the lineup, but after further thought this might be one of those seasons that pulls out some some surprises- plus there's The Hoff Factor (THF) so you knows the ladies gonna be watchin.

Michael Bolton (The singer, not the guy from Office Space)
Brandy (The Singer, not the song)
Margaret Cho (Radie Comedian)
Rick Fox (Sportsguy)
Jennifer Grey (Pretty sure she did it with the guy in Roadhouse)
David Hasselhoff (WIN)
Florence Henderson (Taught everything I know about me about Wessonallity)
Kyle Massey (Disney Kid)
Audrina Patridge (b00bi3s)
Bristol Palin (WTF)
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino (VOM)
Kurt Warner (Sportsguy)

I hope the Hoff showcases his much-acclaimed "cheeseburger crawl".

Odds that Jennifer Grey does a dance and dedicates it to the memory of Patrick Swazye? 1:1

Guys in healthy relationships do things with their ladies. She watches Dr. Who with me and doesn't fuss, I watch DWTS. Plus, the hot chick factor is usually pretty high. Everbody wins.

The real America not that part where you live.

I have watched it a few times with my wife, my only problem is the shows name. Maybe Dancing with the People You May have heard of Somehow, I think Stars is quite a stretch.

Opening night show about what you'd expect- they all mostly sucked (except Brandy & Kyle Massey - and Jennifer Gray not bad).

Sorry to report that THE HOFF was the first one voted off the show. How the EFF that Jersey idiot got more votes is beyond me.

Thought they'd keep Hoff on for ratings. That's surprising. I'm guessing he must have been awful.

DWTS Episode II

The second show had a few surprises. Bristol & Cho did better than expected. The Kyle Kid rocks despite his chunkiness. The music selection was decent this week. Mama Palin made a guest-app.

Guest Appearances on Result Show:

Janelle Monae did a cool kinda of james brownish-hip hoppy mix of jazz and funk.. not much my thing, but made for some cool dancing.

Macy's Stars of Dance: Interpretive dancy-Cirque de Sole sort of thing, they reworked of 'Every little thing she does is magic..' by The Police. Interesting to watch.

Seal did a song from his new album.. typical Seal. I liked it, although I honestly can't hear a Seal song anymore without thinking about that godawful Batman movie. Anyway.

STINK PILE: Bolton, Situation, FloHen
MEH PILE: Cho, Bristol, Fox, Warner
KEEP'EM PILE: Brandy, Kyle, Jennifer, Patridge,

NOT COMING BACK NEXT WEEK PILE: Michael Bolton. Thank you, America. Let's take care of the 'situation' next week if you know what I'm sayin'.

edit: Forgot to mention that the Mama Palin appearance stirred a little controversy- On monday there was some booing off camera, and speculation was that the crowd was booing Palin right before they did a short Q&A with her. Apparently they were just booing the judges scores from the previous dance couple. My bet is that this minor who-ha will only bump DWTS up in the ratings for the results show.

"His people would call staffers 20 times a day, changing rehearsal times, canceling shoots and even suggesting things like camera angles and poses. It's like, we've done 11 seasons! We know what we're doing! He talks more than anyone I have ever met. And I have yet to have one conversation with him that makes sense."

What if it turns out he actually does have some sort of new genetic disorder that makes him equally both batshit crazy and awesome simultaneously? "The Hoff Factor" would be a good name for it.

WEAK THREE. GOOD-BYE MARGARET CHO.

It was a bad week for most everybody. Still cleaning up puke off the furniture after watching the jersey idiot. I might comment more later, but generally you didn't miss much this week. We're rooting for Kyle. Actually, we call him "chubby kyle" and we make our cartman/southpark voices when he's on. It's awesome.

So you don't feel cheated out of a decent review, here's the executive summery.

Keepers: Brandy. Jennifer. Audrina. Kyle. Rick.

Toss 'Em: The Sitch. The Palin. Flo-Hen. Kurt.

Guest Appearances:

Neo. Hip-hop guy. First time on television. Reminded me of Usher. Not bad, I think he was called in to replace Susan Boyle, who was scheduled to appear, but a throat problem caused her to cancel.

Donny Osmond was on as guest reporter/Disney Spokesman. Still a little animosity about him beatin My'a. She was robbed I tells ya.

Michael Bolton was back to sing Hallelujah, the arrangement from Shrek. (They claim on the show that it was Michael that stepped in for Susan B- yeah, right.) Exactly what you'd expect, with a boys choir and some fancy dancin'. They even busted out the fog machine to make the dance floor all cloudy. Those boys choirs are easy to get at the last minute, right? Probably on craigslist or something.

A couple of the male professional Russian dancers did a version of BritnySpearz Toxic on their guitar and fiddle- and a little dance. Let me just say that I hope modern wearfare doesn't ever come down to a dance off between us and the reds, because those rooskies can dance their f**king asses off.

Quick Summary:

Kurt: 34 pts. A little better. Needs Improvement.
Brandy: 48 pts. Good, but should be better with her experience.
Rick: 39 pts. Doing Better. Needs Improvement.
Kyle: 40 pts. Good, had a tough night. Still a favorite.
Sitch: 28 pts. Vomitous.
Flo: 35 pts. Fair. May have been drinking.
Jennifer: 56 pts. Amazing Tango-licious performance.
Palin: 32 pts. Not completely horrible, she's just not a dancer.
Audrina: 46. Doing better, doing well considering lack of experience.

Jennifer was the stand out of the night, glad to see jersey boy hit the road.

Wiki Fivey

It's hard not to like Florence Henderson. It's not hard to boot her ass off the show though- her dancing sucks.

This weeks review has been canceled due to nice weather and baseball. I fast-forwarded through the DVR'd episode and it doesn't look like we missed much. Show should get much better now that most of the crud been scraped off the tires. (well, Palin is still on, but that won't last long)

We'll see next week. (Go Rangers!)

Wix Six

So the "theme" this week was Rock & Roll. It pretty much sucked. Odd dancing, nothing seemed to go right for anyone on the whole, music seemed weird with the whole ballroom dance thing- just my opinion, PFC liked a bunch of it, so take it for what it's worth.

Anywho.. Alice Cooper, Dee Snider and Brett Michaels made appearances. Yawn. The biggest story this week is that the Palin girl is still on. Audrina got booted, which was a bit of a surprise- she actually was one of the better ones, which makes me think that Mama Palin supporters are keeping Bristol on the show. Not fair, America, not fair.

Oh, Heart was on the results show and did Baracuda. They still rock.

Next weeks show looks to be pretty good, btw. Cast has been cut in half, so most of the stars left are at least fun to watch. It's the shows 200th episode, and they are going to have a bunch of the old stars on.

Week 8

Curt Warner was voted off- and I can't say he didn't deserve it, but holy crap how that Bristol Palin is still there? Gimmee a break. Here's who's left:

Brandy - she's doing great, deserves to be there- fun to watch.
Jennifer Grey - you can't help but love her- she's working with a trick knee and looks great for 40+.
Kyle Massey - Mr. Energy. Still our favorite, and greatly improved.
Bristol Palin- Ugh. Not even close to the level of the others, but honestly I do have to say she's improved.
