I love those. My two favorites are the one with lori that says "I got 99 problems but Carl aint one"
and the other one is rick and glen driving in the car and the dialogue goes like this "you know what I love about the end of the world?.... You never have to look when you are driving since there is never anything on the road..... yea you would have to be a complete idiot to crash your car in the zombie apocalypse..." flash to picture of Lori driving a car looking like an idiot.

http://io9.com/5919880/walking-dead-...r-in-the-house
We had a debate about the young boy, Carl. And everyone wants to know why Carl's not in the house. Well, it's boring to sit in a house. And he's a little boy and he wants to mix it up and stuff. And he's walking through the woods and finds a zombie trapped in the mud and he starts doing what any Huck Finn would do and starts throwing rocks at the monster.
I think this illustrates why we hate Carl. Mazzara doesn't get it. We get that it's boring to stay in the house, we get that he's a kid who wants to be involved. The problem is YOU DON'T WRITE IT THAT WAY. You magically transport Carl into dangerous situations with no realistic repercussions because it's easy. There aren't any shots of Carl getting exasperated and sneaking out. You don't have any lines where someone says "where's Carl" and the other person says "he's in his room" when he's really not. Carl is simply out of sight/out of mind until it's convenient to put him in danger for some tension, and then he's OK and no one really freaks out about him wandering off in what is the most dangerous situation these people have ever faced. Hell, it's the most dangerous thing the world they've written has ever faced. The zombies have decimated whole countries and Carl gets to go play Huck Finn, aw shucks. That's why people hate Carl: because the way he's written makes little sense. Getting Dale killed is just a cherry on top. There's no growth. He doesn't learn. He just keeps leaving the house.

Yeah I agree.
Personally though I have zero interest in a child in this storyline -- sure he was essential to the early character development and is part of the original comic -- still wouldn't mind seeing him eaten no matter how they wrote him.

I think he still could be an interesting part of the tv show. They just have to have him kill another kid like in the comic, then make him become a dark character where we don't know how he'll act in any situation, but that could be difficult for a child actor.

No Carl is a good Carl. I wouldn't mind seeing the group whittled down to these new season 3 pics:

Wow! I remember that Millenium episode and recall being amused by Smeat. At the time I figured it was something they came up with. Then I saw Waterworld.

Without spoiling too much, after ep 2 it appears they're willing to get pretty meta with referencing the fan-based Lori hate in the script.

I had no idea she was British. I always thought her southern accent sounded off.

Why Axel damn it? I liked Axel, he was funny, less nuts than most of the others and getting ready to give Carol the boning she needs. So goodbye to the greatest mustache TV has ever seen, I'll miss ya.
