Thought I would start a thread, similar to the old handyman thread to post pics of what you are working on around the house...

OK, I'll start. The garage has been a disaster area since we moved in last May. Figured I would finish the workbench build/garage clean out before we hit the one year mark in the house....

Lucky you! My so called "workshop area" has been overrun with kid stuff for the better part of ten years now.

Also, that drill looks like an old one my dad had. It came in a steel case that probably weighed 20 pounds, which is almost as much as the drill itself.

That drill was my grandfather's drill. Which I used extensively when I ran through my two batteries drilling into the brick and cinder block. That oldschool corded drill pwned the new fancy cordless. I have a jigsaw like that too... metal case, indestructible.

The next post better not be your pegboard with the little outline things showing where everything belongs.

This is as good a place as any to offer this up. My idea this morning for getting the oil spill under control. I realize this would be a little more than a week project- probably need some help. Hey, I'll do a cookout if it works and invite everyone that pitches in.

First idea is for 1 foot heavy rings lowered and stacked on top of each other (5000 feet = 5000 rings) they can be guided along cables, with an interlocking system of some sort - use gravity to trigger? Second idea if for a big flexible tube, with a zipper along the side. got the idea from my kitty city cat tube and cable hider conduit.
