Hah thanks, AsMuch. Stop by again next time you're in the neighborhood.

And thanks NocGuy, I wasn't sure whether I should bring them out more or not... I want them to be subtle but on the other hand, I don't want them to go completely unnoticed by everyone. Though you noticed them so I s'pose it seems to be working out alright so far.

And here's a cool (but 4mb) gif of the layers for anyone interested. I always find it cool to see how images are made up... Not exactly in the order I made it but close enough.

Thanks for pointing that out, I would have totally missed it.

Perfectly subtle, twiggy.

Whoe, totally missed this post. Yea as DG said, I live in philly. But my in-laws have a penchant for extremely beautiful yet extremely out of the way and a pain in the ass to get to vacation spots. They have a house up there on Lake Huron. It is pretty awesome. We usually go up once a year in August. I didn't make it up there this year though... next year I will be up there for my sweet sweet fish tacos, poutine and Neustadt 10W30 beer.

Thanks, all. :)

Here is the second in the series of "The Life of Death". Finally finished it at 3am and it's due tomorrow haha; I'm such a typical student.

All together around 22 hours into them.

*All of them are best viewed in the lightbox, I think.

That's creepy as hell. As always you're showing off your ability to make light do what you want.

A short animation made in all in photoshop for class. What a hassle haha I'm not big on making animations. The point was to make a small flip book that would do one thing on the first side (for mine the bus comes and the guy gets in) and then when you flip through the second side, it makes it back to the beginning frame in a different way.

Large GIF, I know, sorry.

Yeah thanks FDT. I realized that today too and I am going to change their shape and perhaps add in a bit of the part where they round at the end of the handles.

(click for jumbo)

So I have a coin collection (also bills) and for a school project, we were to take a collection and make an information illustration about it. So this illustration shows the location of the country's capitals that I have coins from, the name of the countries, the distance from their capitals to the capital of Canada and also a chart illustrating the value of one unit in that currency in Canadian currency (the average for 2010).

It's going to be printed poster size, so the tiny type will be more readable than on a screen.

hopefully you haven't printed it yet... you've misspelled ColOmbia. (that's where my family's from so it sticks out anytime I see it)

I like the circular idea. Perhaps the font size of the Distance label could be a bit bigger. It got lost on me on first glance. Also another idea, if you put the name of the currency for each country it would add a little more info.

just my of course.

Nope! Haven't printed it yet. Thanks for pointing that out. All decent criticisms. That's why I like to post things here before I hand them in, rather than after.
