Any server/dns gurus around here? I'm having a terrible situation with my dedicated server, and the techs there are being no help whatsoever...
-server was replaced last week after motherboard failure
-now email delivery is fucked up for all domains
-emails from some senders get delivered fine, others just disappear - no delivery, no bounce
Any thoughts would be appreciated... I'm tearing my hair out here.

Maybe something in the server name changed, but the MX record is pointing toward the old server. You can check your MX record here.

Nah, MX record is fine... thanks though. It's now looking like only email from Gmail and Google Apps is being affected. I have not had a good day.

Last week we were switching from gmail for business to Exchange online. There was a relay issue (550 5.4.1 relay access denied) that had to be fixed by using Windows Powershell. Configuring things with a command line interface felt like 1998 again.
Oh and the reason we switched? Some people didn't like the google calendars.

They didn't even want to use Sync? I have people here who are scared of change so I just have their Outlook syncing with Google Apps so they don't have to see the scary Google.

Great googly moogly! In the last few hours, all the test messages that I had sent since Monday, from various addresses, have appeared in my inbox. No explanation for the 24 hour+ delay...

DNS propagation can take a day sometimes, good to know it's fixed. Now I can send you that Viagra offer you'd like.

There were no DNS changes though, and on closer inspection only messages up to 10:30 yesterday morning have come through... still none of my tests from the rest of yesterday and this morning. Not fixed yet...
