Went with the Sedan, averages $3k cheaper for some reason, and while the rear on the hatchback looks pretty cool, it weren't $3k cool. I was buying it more for the gas mileage anyway, and all in all the sedan ain't a bad looker either. Lotta pep out of the little 1.6 liter 4 cylinder to go along with that 28 city, 38 highway gas mileage. Probably shouldn't have eaten at Taco Bell before I went though...new car smell is at war with other smells right now.

What a cool looking car. Those used to be the Chevette of Ford but they've certainly evolved.
Congrats on the new wheels!
EDIT: First thing -- lose that front plate (unless PRM requires it)

Thanks...yeah I used to have a Ford Festiva, looks wise, it was a shitty little econobox, but man that little thing would run, and run, and run. Hoping for the same here as far as the running, styling far far superior these days, and based on what I've read of the car, it should easily live up to the dependability of most anything else on the road.

Congrats, Jammer. Fiesta means party y'know. And with the sedan, you'll have extra "party" room in the backseat for the señoritas.

no requirements to keep it on, as far as I know, other than to avoid unwanted attention from the popo, for not having a front plate while your temp plate is on. With the RAV, I left it on till the permanent plates came in. In both cases, Toyota of Bowie, and Ron Bortnick Ford in Upper Marlboro, I couldn't have been happier with the staff I dealt with. Don't hurt none to give the dealer a month or so free advertising.

If the Fiesta is a rocking don't bother knocking, just come on in...non señoritas keep on steppin' though.

Not entirely, but it definitely brought my attention to the Fiesta.
Timing on it being introduced to the US market worked out very well for me indeed.
Edit:
Ended up going with switching my XM radio back, and forth, buying a docking station kit for the Fiesta, poping it back, and forth that way takes seconds. Wires aren't that big of a deal to contend with, and more $$$ saved in the wallet from months to month, not having 2 radios activated.

Took the Fiesta on it's maiden workday voyage this morning. Got some logistics to work out in the positioning of things for maximum efficiency, but I think she'll do nicely.
Seats were designed for younger people with narrower asses than mine, but as the night went on I found myself settling in OK.
Looking forward to filling her up, and running through several tanks to see just what kind of gas mileage she's actually going to give me. Gauge is still showing half a tank of the fill up the dealer gave me, at 160 miles, on the 12 gallon tank, which would be roughly 27 miles per gallon. Break in period tends to consume more gas than after a few tanks have been run through though, and going by the gas gauge, is far less accurate than filling up, running a few 100 miles, then filling up again. Time will tell, but if I'm in fact getting 27 mpg with the kind of driving I do, during the break in period, I think I'm going to be quite pleased with the final result. Shooting for at least 30mpg.

Well, either the cars of today, have no need for a break in period to give you the best they've got gas mileage wise, or the Fiesta is gonna be a incredible gas sipper for me. First tank I filled myself, drove 265 miles, and filled again got me 31mpg...about 40% highway, and 60% the worst kind of start, and stop driving imaginable. Already that's 10mpg better than what I average with the RAV. Sweet!!!

looks like it's going to be a good buy for you then. I predict more whiskey and Halloween decorations in your future with the $avings.

That 31mpg from the first tank was just a preview of coming attractions it would seem. Second tank was rudely interrupted by a snow storm, but Wednesday morning of last week, and this morning, total of 265 miles, 7.35 gallons to fill er back up, for those keeping track at home, that's 36mpg, a jump of 5 mpg from the previous tank, and 15mpg more than I average in the RAV.
