This topic needs a good reset. Whether it's new or old, what's catching your ear right now?

In the spirit of Enigma, another Romanian artist is taking the scene in Europe. I don't know if he'll ever have the hit that "Sadeness" was, but I really dig where he's going with his sound...

Heard this little dity on the sat radio the other day...been years, cranked it to eleven, and made my ears bleed.

Oh my god. When we were in college we used to crank that fucking billy thorpe song so loud that the windows would crack. That might be the cheesiest song in the history of songs. And I love it.

The Flaming Lips - A Change At Christmas (Say It Isn't So)

I know everything changes
Yeah, it's strange how time marches on
Maybe there'll be some time in the future
Oh, tell me I'm not wrong

Oh, if I could stop time
It would be a frozen moment just around Christmas
When all of mankind reveals its truest potential
And there is sympathy for the suffering
Yes, there is sympathy for those who are suffering

And the world embraces peace and love and mercy
Instead of power and fear
And as sure as I'm standing here
I swear it really does appear that a change comes over us
Yes, some kind of change comes over us

And it's glimpsed for one shining moment
And this change feels like a change that's real
But then it passes along with the season
And then we just go back to the way we were
Yes, we just go back to the way we were

Say it isn't so
Tell me I'm not just a dreamer
I'm talking with a friend and he knows how it ends
He says it's easier, that's just the way we are
That's human nature and that's just the way we are
Oh, say it isn't so!

Rush is coming to Toledo. They had a date here in the 80s at the old sports arena....and canceled it, the stage wouldn't fit. Now we have a new arena, they're coming back in April and it's huge news. I'm incredibly geeked about it. I've been playing Red Barchetta like a 12 year old girl who just bought the new Katy Perry single.

It's the heyday version. Lets just face it, Geddys getting old.

Was putting some tunes together for a friend who's going out of town -- looking for driving music. I found this a few years ago through newgrounds' independent music section. Forgot how cool it was...

Richard Thompson is brilliant on any number of levels. The man writes incredible songs, is one of the greatest guitar players alive, and he can still turn around and pull something like that off.

I've been struggling to listen to anything other than Nothing's Shocking for the past month. I can't believe that album still sounds so fresh after 23 years. 23 years. Damn.

That's nice. That is one of my LEAST favorite Christmas songs, and that kind of makes it bearable

This probably isn't up any of your alleys. I get a sense that you're not much into pop, but ever since I saw them open for Guster last year, I've been digging these guys quite a bit.
