"MEDFORD, Ore. -- A Palm Street man told police he was up all night reading the Bible and taking methamphetamine before he gave his neighbors a wake-up call Thursday morning with a chainsaw, cutting down trees planted in a city revitalization project.
After being jailed Thursday, the man was identified as an illegal alien.
Medford police responded to a call of a man cutting down trees with a chainsaw around 8 AM Thursday and ended up arresting him after he confronted arriving officers. Police say he put the chain saw down and fought with them before being taken into custody. Two officers were injured in the fracas."
