I try to give a positive and negative comment in every one even if it comes down to picking of the nits and do so for every entry if I have time. I am admittedly no master so don't feel any of my comments equate to "I could have done better" looking down my nose-isms. Just trying to help. I go one by one while voting, so sorry if there are repeated critiques. |

Christmas Songs Visualized Type: Slag Theme | | | 12/15/05 02:50 PM | This is why I'm against liscensing creatures without opposable thumbs to drive. Call me insensitive but it's not about equality it's about safety dammit!! Heh.
Nice work on this layout for this idea I thought someone might do a Grandma pic and I dig you didn't take an easier route here. I find it very amusing he was drinking Moosehead but I'm not sure if the location of that element makes sense in its location. I think the cop would need to be looking to see if Rummy the Reindeer is performing his test properly. I am generally clueless about creating decent shadow casts so I'm not one to speak technically but it doesn't seem Rummy's shadow is correct on the ground and his head would have blocked the lighting on hi upper neck as well. |

Christmas Songs Visualized Type: Slag Theme | | | 12/15/05 02:38 PM | | Hippopotamusses (darn forgot the lyric!) make for good photoshoppin'. Kids today... hope they have a pool and lots of vegetables! Very funny and the bow is a great touch. That tree is casting a lot of light given the way it is illuminating the window and I don't think your hippo accurately reflects (ugh, sorry, no pun intended, that. His front feet for example seem to be directly opposite the light source given how short and stumpy a hippo is. I know I stuggle especially hard with lighting when it would work against the added elements I want to portray, I think you got caught in that kind of thing here. |

Christmas Songs Visualized Type: Slag Theme | | | 12/15/05 02:25 PM | | Crazy man, crazy. It all comes together quite well and I dig it. I'd have loved to see your sources. There is some unclarity regarding your light source, the rock colorations could have a lot to do with that but there are a lot of very reflective surfaces there and they don't seem to be echoing the lighting. |

Christmas Songs Visualized Type: Slag Theme | | | 12/15/05 02:16 PM | | Disturbing... heh; leave it to the French. Well done on the torch meets the Griswald house look. Very Grinchy. Overall I think you have issues mainly due to were things to that degree ablaze the lights wouldn't still be functioning. the tree image on the left is very confusing, hard to place where it should be. |

Christmas Songs Visualized Type: Slag Theme | | | 12/15/05 02:09 PM | | Aww the pup on the right looks so happy. Nice ying-yang effect there with the devil dog. Really well laid out to get multiple subjects in. The bulldog has problems in relation to his cloud sharin' buddy. He seems to be in front of him and some ways behind him at the same time depending on where you take your visual clues from. He appers to be plopped down in the middle of the cloud but the brown dog seems to have his legs astride the front edge of that cloud? |

Christmas Songs Visualized Type: Slag Theme | | | 12/15/05 01:59 PM | | Wow, I really dig the overall imagery you really integrated your sources your sources well. One issue is Shrek's eyes and I don't think it would have harmed the imae to have them remain open? Over the right shoulder of Shane our anti-hero it seems the light source sprite there would have kept his face from being in such shadow. BTW I'm glad you went with a more fanciful image than following the literal lyrics could have led you to! |

Christmas Songs Visualized Type: Slag Theme | | | 12/15/05 01:40 PM | | I really dig your concept for this one. My problem is that if Rudy was throwing off that much glow to outline Santa four plus reindeer pairings back on the sleigh it would be enough to show quite a few of those reindeer as well. |

Christmas Songs Visualized Type: Slag Theme | | | 12/15/05 01:34 PM | | With respect for language filters I guess wOw will have to cover it or maybe a Keanu-esque "Whoa." This is amazing. It would be picking quite the nit to say much the only possible thing I could think of would be the angle of Frost to the nose? |

Christmas Songs Visualized Type: Slag Theme | | | 12/15/05 01:27 PM | | That's very cool. You really did a number on the supports to Christmas lights conversion. I think the addition of the moon detracts from your overall image as your eye is drawn to it not your lights, it's the only element of your additions that sticks out as an add-in which is unfortunate. |

Christmas Songs Visualized Type: Slag Theme | | | 12/15/05 01:19 PM | | Definitely gay. I got a good chucle out of the overall look. It wasn't clear enough that you were pointing out the YMCAs in the text, I barely caught it. You'd have done better with bold instead of just capitals. You could have gone red and green intead of blue and green in your on-picture text. Part of the problem is that the 'a's on the first lines are capital and not part of the YMCA order. You even gave it the alternate coloring on the pic making it YAMCA and I'm not sure how many people caught that without really staring at it. Your hats are done well with exception of the cowboy hat on the left it doesn't look over the head/ornament at all. Your lips are a bit rough and more integation would have served you better. |

Christmas Songs Visualized Type: Slag Theme | | | 12/15/05 01:03 PM | The conversion of the bells sources is really well done and you certainly didn't take the easy way out going this direction which is great.
I think the main issue remains that these things gotta really be movin' and we don't get as much of a senses of that. If you'd have blurred them to help that and lessened the shadowing it might have come together more. The trail of the bell on the right side seems a bit too poofy (technical term heh) given the speed I'd assume it is travelling. |
