Deleted Movie Scenes Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | OMFG this is some funny shiate! Those bastards at the MPAA; they should hire Gwinny and Madame M and be done with it :-P Very nice; if I were to pick nits Pluggy stands out a bit compared to the rest, but then a butt plug would... Aces. |

Celebrity Name Mating Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | I think you probably just have "I've been working on this so long I don't know anymore"itis cause I like it a lot. It's very well blended in; I think I'd have liked to have seen big clunky black boots on the pedals though. But that is tha pickin o da nitz. |

Celebrity Name Mating Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | The answer is there is no spoon. Clever; not sure how much "work up" was done to the cover/captions (my guess is all of it) but I do know for certain that I laughed out loud at the magic carpet reference! Whoa, "classic rock" flashbacks! The only thing is something in the neck area seems to be throwing the cohesiveness off... beside the eyes being magnetically drawn to the cleavage thing that is. It's all about depth and detail and this has oodles. Sweet. |

Four Elements Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | I just dig the overall composition here; I was wondering to myself is it an easy way out to "play with" the scale of the elements or is it even more difficult to do so and still make it "work"? I'm pretty sure it's the latter. Also I love the donuts idea. Oh yeah and that has GOT to smart... |

Bad Retread Idea Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | I was going for a late seventies-ish vibe... and as for the background it is washed out actually, a flat layer of white at a low level; the realistic field looked odd with the characters. |

Four Elements Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | Holy shit that is funny! I wonder if Wedo Martini was related to Peaceboy cause it seems his balls itch :-) Tech pickin' o nits: the black watermelon text could have used some "softening" and the cereal some sharpnin' but overall I love it! |

Four Elements Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | The overall look and feel of this one is great; I really dig the baseball card for some reason. Clever on the hammer but I think the watermelons are too incongruous (however that's speell'd) because that would be one absolutely gigantic cock were it to be sitting on four even smallish watermelons and with the scale of the straw... it's not wurkin fer me. :-( |

What a breathtaking baby! Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | Ooohhh two good references! For no apparent reason the phrase "Hunt The Wumpus" popped into my head yesterday so you get an extra point for the ESP. Okay, after staring at this it's really growing on me; I'm freakin out. The bloody scrawl is a disturbing touch; I think the blood needed to be less red for full effect. Someone remind me why the hell I opened this contest before going to bed? |

What a breathtaking baby! Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | This is officially going wayyy the fuck overboard; holy shit... I'm touched; and not in a good way! Horrific! Wow, where to start? All the details are just creepsville and all the mouths and *shudder* okay I'm looking away now... Zoiks! |

Four Elements Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | The initial pic search was pretty brutal. Though to get the angle I envisioned which was kind the exact opposite of this one; I lucked out on people standing on the sidelines in blue coats cause it was the Giants I believe. The Little Debbie sign was the JumboTron. It actually does say "Monday Night Football, October 20th. All girls under 13 years old get a free Little Debbie doll" but I created it like 8 times larger than that and shrank 'er. While #40 is "original" to the pic I replaced Owens and the Colt over where two other players were. I had a good Owens Sharpie incident source and only after getting 75% of it done did I realize he was in a freakin white road jersey so I had to swap that out from another pic too. It's always somethin! :-) Thanks for the compliments I did a lot of tweeking to try to get it all to blend and am glad people dig it. |

Four Elements Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | I can't say I saw this one coming :-) And then again that's a big part of what I dig about these 'matches'. Can you really blame him for being a bad guy what with the whole allergic to chocolate thing?? I'm interested on the precentage reconstruction you did; great job with the blending in of the text. So maaannnnyyy speech bubbles, can you imagine if this was a LoboWheel production? *shudder* I must admit I'm still laughing heartily at the "don't mess up my hair this time, okay?" speech bubble. However Hostess' answer was the ho-ho not the cupcake :-) |

Four Elements Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | Ummm... I don't get it. Also, it freaks me out more than a little bit. However, these are both very good things with a stylized piece like this! Great work. Da pick de nitz: with the striking change with the coaxial head on father I think I'd have liked the fire element to have been incorporated elsewhere. |

Four Elements Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | I'm not sure how many people will put together the "failed to properly inform her her rights" reference but it is fucking brilliant! ((I suspect a high percentage but I know a lot of us also surf late at night too...) Poor Andre Rison, he has had a rotten run of luck. That choice and the Cable Guy ref are two inspired choices. With the tech pickin' o nits the tv is a bit "bold" I'd have liked it better if it blended in more; tough with it being in the dead center I know. Awesome though. |

Mate a Movie Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | Very clever title; the uniforms look sharp and I like the touch of the "eye black" on GI Theron. Nice blend of the helicopters into the background; depth is a bytch... |

Mate a Movie Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | Umbrella to Uzi nicely executed. Big props for working in B&W which is one of those things that seems like it should be easy until you actually try it. That left shoulder is distracting; I'd have "bought" Neo wearing an overcoat more if you'd taken the coat across that shoulder further I think but that's nitpicking, isn't it? Great job on blending Trinity into the rain; it took me about five minutes to look away from that and at Neo. |

Member Name Literalisms Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | I love the lettering but I've been debating the composition; not sure if I'll explain this right but going with anime + a "real pic" cross kind of makes it an easy way out as far as consisteny and flow to the picture goes. It looks good but it's kind of a pic without rules so I'm conflicted on rating it... |

Primary Colors Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | How much more green can you get and the answer is none. None more green. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing for voting though... maybe I'm just burned out on green after the she-hulk contest though. |

Primary Colors Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | Okay, now I don't want to go to bed *lol* Creepsville! This is damn impressive; it looks like instead of finding your "happy place" you've found your "pyscho killer madness place". Yikes. The texture of the blood and the scratchings really give a big impact; I think it's the scrathcings that are really creepin me out. I'm going to look away now and try to find my aforementioned happy place. |

Mate Julia Roberts Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | In the "I'd never have thought of this one." category; I only dislike the "photoshop state X's new quarter" flashbacks I got from looking at this one. This is also one fo those 'shops that only other 'shoppers know what a bitch this musta been; well executed. |

Historical / Modern Events Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | Just seeing Bush in this one makes me laugh. I'm sure a lot of people would have stopped with swapping "Georges" but the other figures really add a lot to this one. I 'specially like the guys back on shore. |

Unlikely Celebrity Books Type: Faceoff Theme | | | 11/19/03 11:57 PM | | The front cover is pretty much "as is" from the pic I was using as the angle was preety much top down (except for George you can see they are pretty much looking up tothe camera. The Friends one is a bit squished I admit and I prolly made it seem a bit worse with the gradient. Thanks for the comments! |
